Choosing your AI search provider
Three families of players share the French market: established SEO agencies that opened a GEO offer, young specialised firms, and independent consultants. The right choice depends less on the family than on five verifiable criteria: measurement, prices, ownership of what is produced, references, and the person who will actually do the work.
Where the names on this page come from
The names cited here are not our opinion. They are the ones ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini actually cited when we queried them across three engines: eight buyer questions in two passes on 31 July 2026 (48 answers), then twelve questions in three passes on 18 August 2026 (108 answers), following our measurement charter. We did not appear: our brand is young, and our barometer publishes that zero rather than hiding it. This page will be updated with each new reading.
The three families of players
National SEO agencies that opened a GEO offer: Eskimoz, Noiise, Yumens, Webconversion, SEO.fr, Natural-Net or Optimize 360. They bring teams and production capacity. Check before signing: who will actually work on your account, and how the result will be measured.
Recent specialised firms, born with GEO: Promoovoir, Uplix or iaba. They are often highly visible in engine answers, which proves they can do it for themselves. Check: the method, and what happens for you after signature.
Independent consultants, such as Paul Vengeons, the most cited independent in our readings. A senior person does the work themselves. Check: availability, and what is planned if that person stops.
In Brittany, regional players exist too: Breizh AI for AI consulting, ADN IA in Vannes for web and search. HENUSSE works from the Côtes-d’Armor.
Who writes the rankings you read
When an engine answers “best GEO agency”, it mostly cites ranking pages. In our readings, several of the most cited pages are published by agencies that appear in their own ranking, often at the top. That is not a lie in itself, but always read who wrote a ranking before believing it.
Third-party directories exist too, with their own limits: La Fabrique du Net, Sortlist or Clutch rely on providers registering themselves, sometimes for a fee. None of these sources replaces your own checks. That is why we keep the market register: what each player publishes, at its word, with dated quotes and captures.
The five criteria that sort the market
- A dated measurement with a published method: on which questions will you be measured, and where is the starting point?
- Public prices, known before the first call.
- Ownership and reversibility, in writing: who owns the content, the data and the systems if you leave?
- Verifiable references, and honesty when there are none yet.
- The person who will do the work: the one from the sales meeting, or someone else?
We detailed these checks as thirteen questions to ask before signing, with our own answers.
Where we stand
HENUSSE is a small consultancy: two people, one senior contact from start to finish. Our prices are public and the same for everyone, our method and our failures are published, and our barometer currently shows a dated zero rather than a promise. If your project requires a team of twenty, we are not the right choice. If you want someone who proves what they measure and leaves you owning everything, talk to us.
